Join Dr. Jenny Burke, Biology professor at the University of Lethbridge, for an exciting afternoon of in-depth botany lesson on the sweetgrass plant. We will be meeting at the Galt Museum, the program will take place indoors and outdoors at our garden boxes, there are washrooms and water on site.
Flora Foundations is an outdoor and hands-on exploration of botany, Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) science, and the medicinal uses of local plants. Registration at each class in the series is encouraged.
Meet at the Galt Museum & Archives Viewing Gallery. Washrooms are accessible during the program. Be prepared to walk about 1 km at a slow pace. Tickets are required in advance and must be purchased at least 3 hours before the program start time. Members receive a 10% discount when booking in person or by phone.
